Emilie Schölly

Senior Management Consultant

Biography

Emilie Lara Schölly used to compete against Switzerland’s best — ranked in the country’s top 100 tennis players before trading the court for the world of people topics such as leadership, culture and change. Today, as a Senior Management Consultant at Implement Consulting Group in Zürich, she helps leaders and teams build the same kind of resilience that got her there: the ability to handle pressure constructively, recover strategically to perform at their best when it counts, and bounce back quickly from setbacks. Her expertise lies in organizational health and well-being, including resilience at the individual, team, and organizational level, stress management, energy management, as well as physical & mental health. She draws on the competitive experience as much as her consulting practice — both have taught her what resilience actually takes. She’s also a published author on mindfulness, in both academic and non-academic outlets.

Emilie is passionate about one idea: Well-being isn’t the price you have to pay for high performance. It’s the foundation for it.

At LEAD27, Emilie will lead a hands-on workshop where participants build their own toolkit for resilience.

Talk

From change fatigue to resilience as a leadership superpower

It is more important than ever to build resilient organizations in a world marked by constant change — accelerating in speed, shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, and tested by economic ups and downs. We strongly believe that active efforts to strengthen resilience within organizations are not nice-to-haves or optional additions to employee well-being programmes. Non-resilient organizations face real consequences to their bottom line — consequences that can ultimately threaten their survival.
Resilience needs to be strengthened at every level: at the individual employee level, at the team level, and at the organizational level. Leaders have a unique ability and responsibility to influence all three. In this workshop, leaders will work in small groups on concrete approaches to strengthen their own energy and stress management, to empower their employees by creating environments of mutual trust and support, and to shape organizational culture by stepping forward as role models.
