Andre Helfenstein

André Helfenstein is Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIX since 1 January 2026. He has many years of national and international management experience in finance and banking.

André has served on the SIX Board of Directors since 2020 and currently holds further Board positions at AMAG Leasing AG, Cham, the Gaydoul Group, Zurich and the HSG Alumni Seniors Club, Zurich. He previously served as a Board Member at Baloise Holding (now Helvetia Baloise Group).

Since 2007, André Helfenstein has held various management positions in different banking businesses including private banking, corporate banking and institutional banking. As former CEO of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. he was responsible for the bank’s business in the Swiss region from 2020-2024. Before joining Credit Suisse, he spent eleven years with The Boston Consulting Group, most recently as Partner and Managing Director.

André holds a master’s degree in business administration from University of St. Gallen and a certificate in psychology and sociology from Université de la Sorbonne.
