Yamin Gröninger

Yamin Groeninger is Chief Operating Officer for Group Digital & Technology at Swiss Re, where she leads enterprise-wide technology strategy and transformation. Over more than a decade in global insurance and consulting, she has built a reputation for hands-on leadership—guiding teams through complex change, navigating setbacks, and delivering impact in high-pressure environments. 

Prior to Swiss Re, Yamin was a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group, advising insurers across Asia on growth and operating model transformation. She also held multiple senior leadership roles at EY, where she drove strategy, innovation, and large-scale business development across EMEIA. Across her career, she has consistently combined sharp strategic thinking with pragmatic execution and a deep commitment to developing people. 

Yamin is known as a genuine and grounded leader—bold yet thoughtful, fact-driven yet empathetic—who challenges with respect and leads with both head and heart. She invests deeply in her teams and believes that lasting impact is created together, especially in times of uncertainty and change. 

A Guest Lecturer at the University of St. Gallen, she remains passionate about shaping the future of the industry. Ethnically Chinese and a citizen of Switzerland and Germany, Yamin brings a global mindset shaped by experiences across cultures and markets.
